RE: Bradford jersey

It was brought to my attention (*cough cough* see comment section of my last post) that my reference to Sam Bradford's jersey was not properly cited.

My apologies.

Ahem.

Here I am in the jersey I BORROWED from my sister, Kaley. ;)

dreams come true, part 1

Okay, I know all of you have been on the edge of your seats, eagerly anticipating a post chock full of pictures from my Dallas Cowboys weekend, so I am happy that I can now bring you the moment you have been waiting for. Well, part of it at least...it may take a few posts since I snapped a lot of pics...imagine that! At least you have more to look forward to. :)

We will be going in chronological order - not a big shock when you know me, but it really is the best way to do it.

Soooo, the first pic is one that Brigit snapped in Ardmore at our first stop. Humorous. And in case you can't read the handwritten fine print in the lower right hand corner, it says "Yeah idiots."

Now, I am actually going to skip a lot here, because I didn't take any pictures while we were sitting in traffic. Or shopping at the outlets. Or eating at "Uncle Julios." Or watching the hailstorm Saturday night. So I will just jump straight to the moment that I first beheld the nationally acclaimed stadium with my very own eyes. We were sitting in traffic (again):

Oh, and another reason traffic was crazy was the World Series was also going on...someone please tell me why the Rangers Stadium is right next to the Cowboys Stadium??

So here it is!!!!!

Trivia: did you know that there is a Walmart across the street from the stadium? Truly. You just never see that on TV. We took this picture while standing in the Walmart parking lot.

Brigit, Patty, and me! (yes, I am wearing Sam Bradford's Rams jersey)

To be continued...

Preview

Coming soon to my blog: pictures from my Dallas trip!!! I got to go see those Cowboys play in that amazing stadium last weekend! Sooo exciting...

I am planning to post over the weekend, just gotta squeeze in hours upon hours of studying and try to catch up on all my responsibilities. I am extremely relieved that the weekend is here...this morning at work I wanted to scream and this afternoon I wanted to cry. It was one of THOSE days. My verse for this week was Jeremiah 31:25 "For I have satiated the weary soul, and I have replenished every sorrowful soul."

Life at 100mph

I got home from a weekend trip Sunday night at 9:30, unloaded the car, unpacked my bag, and sorted piles of laundry before collapsing into bed. Monday I worked 9 hours, started laundry, and put in my final 2 and a half hours of studying before my big exam this morning. I got a few hours of sleep last night because the wind kept me awake for awhile. This morning as I jumped in the car and headed to my exam, I realized that I had forgotten to fuel up my car the night before and I was driving on empty. That was a nice start to the day. Good news is, I think I passed my exam, I just have to wait two or three weeks to get my scores to know for sure. After my exam, I headed for the office, and after work I ran to the store to grab some cookies for the dinner with my Bible study sisters because I didn't have time to make anything homemade. This is my life; I live in fast-forward. This is why I don't update my blog very often. I sometimes wish I were a robot so I wouldn't have to take time to eat or sleep...like I said, I drive on empty...

Highlight from Monday: my coworker told me that I was very nice to have around. He said, "You are as handy as a shirt pocket!" Since my response to his statement was less than enthusiastic, he reassured me by saying that "to a guy, that's pretty handy!" Okay, thanks...

Just wanted to say hi and bye! Gotta run!!

I'm so unworthy

I LOVE this worship song. We sing it about every month at my church, but I could sing it every week. I never get tired of the fact that "I'm so unworthy, but still You love me."

It's falling from the clouds
A strange and lovely sound
I hear it in the thunder and rain
It's ringing in the skies
Like cannons in the night
The music of the universe plays

You are holy great and mighty
The moon and the stars declare who You are
I'm so unworthy, but still You love me
Forever my heart will sing of how great You are

Beautiful and free
Song of Galaxies
It's reaching far beyond the milky way
Let's join in with the sound
C'mon let's sing it loud
As the music of the universe plays

All glory, honor, power is Yours amen
All glory, honor, power is Yours amen
All glory, honor, power is Yours forever amen

Press On

"Don't let the struggle define you; use your true identity to properly define your struggle. Make your adversary your friend. Let it help you prove who you are rather than deplete you and drag you along its path of despair. Make your overwhelming project your friend. Let it teach and strengthen you rather than control you."
(Self Talk, Soul Talk - Jennifer Rothschild)

"Recognize that who you are and what you struggle with are not the same thing."

"But we're not quitters who lose out. Oh, no! We'll stay with it and survive, trusting all the way." (Hebrews 10:39 MSG)

"Character consists of what you do on the third and fourth tries."

"For you have need of steadfast patience and endurance, so that you may perform and fully accomplish the will of God, and thus receive and carry away [and enjoy to the full] what is promised."
